drawing sighs
being unable to explain
the definition of, “icing”
while looking with big teary eyes
making incomprehensible
seismic jumps shying
away from tough times

seeking nothing short
of a repeat title missing four
out of the final five
eating tins of chicken-and-rice
inflight with the attitude
of a spoiled child as equine
frequent fliers vibrate with anxiety

upon naming mystery clients
having gone from giving advice
in the skies declining highlights
of the much-maligned
retaliative air strikes

flown by the high minded
staking odds of survival
via BYO supplies
and shared prizes...
